Sparta Praha – Salzburg Preview

We are heading to the Czech Republic where Sparta Prague will host Salzburg in a match from the league stage of the Champions League. Now it’s time to take a look at it in our free soccer predictions daily.

Sparta Prague are the most successful club in the history of Czech football. They have won the league title 38 times while in 1992 they reached the 1/2-finals of the European Cup. As you can see, they are a serious club. And now they are back to the Champions League.

Sparta are currently coached by the Danish tactician Lars Friis who replaced his countryman Brian Priske. Priske won two consecutive league titles with Sparta, but he accepted the offer to replace Arne Slot at Feyenoord.

In the last two years Lars Friis worked as an assistant to Brian Priske, so he knows the team very well. Adapting to the new role shouldn’t be a problem for him.

Salzburg are the best team in Austria since the company Red Bull took control of the club. Die Roten Bullen are winning the title almost every season and they simply can’t be stopped at the moment. It’s much more difficult in Europe, though – this challenge will be different for Salzburg.

Salzburg started the new season with a new manager – this is the Dutch coach Pepijn Lijnders. He spent six years as an assistant to Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool but left Merseyside with the German. It’d be interesting to see what Lijnders have learnt from Klopp during their time at the Anfield.

That’s the free soccer predictions daily for the Champions League fixture between Sparta Prague and Salzburg in the Czech capital. It looks like a very competitive game between two teams with similar quality. Salzburg’s budget is higher compared to Sparta’s, but it’s always tough against teams from the Czech Republic.
